The first wedding I remember attending was that of my kindergarten teacher. I was five years old and the bride had a lace dress with a twelve foot train. Although I cannot remember my exact thoughts that day, I can imagine they were something like, “I wonder what the most efficient way to bustle that train would be while ensuring she has time to enjoy the cocktail hour?” I like to think this is when it all started for me – not just my passion for planning weddings, but my dedication to making sure that every aspect of the planning process and the wedding day meet each couple’s expectations.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies, Urban Studies and History from the University of Pittsburgh. Since moving back to New York City, I’ve coordinated both intimate and largescale events within the nonprofit and corporate sectors – ranging from private birthday and bachelorette parties, corporate trainings, and nonprofit fundraisers. Wedding and life-cycle event planning and coordination however is where my true passion lies, as there is nothing more rewarding to me than seeing a bride and groom surrounded by their loved ones enjoying the wedding of their dreams.
When not coordinating events, I’m likely planning my next getaway (real or hypothetical), going to see a Broadway show, catching up with friends, or curled up on the couch watching old WB shows or this last week’s This Is Us. I’m always up to try a new restaurant, test out a new wellness craze, or stay home with a nice glass of wine and good company.
